  • 5 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 1/2 c. cornsyrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. chopped pecans
  • 16 pecan halves
  • 1 c. whipping cream
  • pie shell

    Prepare unbaked pie shell for 10 1/2 inch pie plate. Beat eggs and sugar together until well blended. Add butter, corn syrup, salt, vanilla, and chopped pecans. Mix thoroughly. Pour into prepared unbaked shell. Bake at 350° for about 1 1/4 hours-until filling is set. Cover with foil if top gets too brown before filling is set. Serve warm or cold. Garnish with whipped cream and pecan halves.
