  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Karo syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. pecan halves
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell

    Cream margarine to soften.

    Add sugar gradually and cream until fluffy.

    Add syrup and salt.

    Beat well.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.

    Stir in pecans. Pour into unbaked pastry shell.

    Bake in moderate oven at 350° for 50 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Cool before cutting.
