  • 1/2 c. dark corn syrup (Karo)
  • 1/2 c. honey (Sue Bee)
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. melted butter
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 c. pecans, chopped fine

Directions

    Combine the first seven ingredients until blended.

    Stir in eggs well, but do not beat.

    Fold in pecans.

    Pour into 9-inch pie shell.

    Bake at 375° for approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour, until set in the middle and golden brown.

    Watch the crust carefully and cover lightly with aluminum foil if it browns before the filling sets.
