- 1 1/3 c. flour
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 c. pecans, chopped
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1In small bowl, mix well both the flour and 2 tablespoons brown sugar.

2With finger, work in the margarine until dough begins to hold together.

3Press onto bottom of greased 9-inch square pan. Bake in 350° oven 12 to 15 minutes or until firm.

4In medium bowl, lightly beat 1/2 cup brown sugar and eggs; add corn syrup, pecans, melted margarine, vanilla and salt.

5Mix well.

6Pour over crust. Bake 25 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.

7Cut into 3 x 1-inch bars.
