  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • butter
  • 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 pkg. (1-1/3 lb.) Family-size Deluxe Fudge Brownie Mix
  • 1/2 cup very hot water
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 egg

    Heat oven to 350F.

    Grease bottom only of 13x9-inch pan.

    In medium saucepan, melt margarine, stir in flour until smooth.

    Add brown sugar and 2 eggs and mix well.

    Cook over medium-low heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in vanilla and pecans.

    Set aside.

    In large bowl, combine brownie ingredients and beat 50 strokes with a spoon.

    Spread in prepared pan.

    Spoon filling evenly over top.

    Bake at 350F for 30 to 35 minutes or until set.
