Pecan Pie Cake

  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. Karo (light or dark)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. (or more) chopped pecans

Directions

    Take out and set aside 2/3 cup cake mix.

    Mix rest of cake mix with margarine and 1 egg.

    Press into a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

    Mix the 2/3 cup cake mix with brown sugar, vanilla, Karo and 3 eggs.

    Pour over top of first layer and sprinkle pecans on top.

    Bake 30 to 35 minutes longer at 350°.
