- 2 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. cream (evaporated)
- 2 Tbsp. white syrup
- 1 lb. dates
- 1 lb. chopped nuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Bring sugar, cream and syrup to soft ball over slow fire or in double boiler.

2Add dates and return to fire, stirring constantly, until dates are dissolved.

3Remove from fire and add nuts and vanilla.

4Form in rolls any size desired.

5Place in refrigerator until hard.

6Then roll in finely chopped nuts or powdered sugar. Slice and serve.
