  • 2 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 c. confectioners sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 4 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 4 c. plain flour (all-purpose)
  • 2 c. chopped pecans
  • additional confectioners sugar (to dust with)

Directions

    In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar.

    Add water and vanilla.

    Mix well. Gradually add flour.

    Fold in pecans. Roll dough into 1-inch balls.

    Place balls on ungreased baking sheet and flatten with finger.

    Bake at 300° for 20 to 25 minutes. When cool, dust with sugar.

    Makes about 5 or 6 dozen.
