  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. unsifted flour
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • dash of salt
  • 1 c. powdered sugar

Directions

    Beat butter, sugar, vanilla and 1 tablespoon of water together. Add in flour, chopped pecans and dash of salt. Blend together with wooden spoon or by kneading (add flour OR water as necessary to get a good play dough-like consistency). Roll into 1-inch balls (or egg shapes for Easter). Freeze (once shaped) and pull out to bake at a later date OR bake at 325° for 20 minutes. Allow to cool, then roll in powdered sugar.
