  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/3 c. oil
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Karo Syrup
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 2 c. chopped pecans

Directions

    Combine yellow cake mix, 1 egg, and oil. Press into 13 x 9-inch greased pan and bake at 300° for 20 minutes. While cake is cooking mix 4 eggs, sugar, Karo syrup, butter, and chopped pecans. Pour mixture over cooked cake and bake 45 minutes on 300°. Since oven temperatures vary, during the last 5 to 10 minutes of cooking check closely. Do Not Over Cook. (Better than pecan pie if you can believe it.)
