- 1 1/2 lb. round steak
- 1/2 c. flour (enough to cover steaks in)
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 3 medium slices green pepper
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 medium onions
- salt and pepper
- 1/3 c. water
Directions

1Cut steaks into 2-inch strips about 2 or 3 inches long.

2Roll in flour and thoroughly brown in shortening.

3Add green pepper, Worcestershire sauce, water, onions, salt and pepper.

4Cover and cook over low heat for 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.

5You may add more water.

6It makes delicious gravy.

7Serve it on steaming hot rice or potatoes.

8You can made your own version by adding mushrooms, etc.

9One half hour before starting, put tenderizer on meat.

10Serves 6.
