Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. round steak
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 medium green pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 beef bouillon cube, dissolved in 1/2 c. water
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/4 pimento, drained and chopped
- 1 lb. can or jar applesauce
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Directions

1Pound flour and salt into steak with meat mallet.

2Cut into serving size pieces; brown in shortening in large skillet.

3Remove meat pieces to platter.

4Saute green pepper and onion.

5Stir in pimento, applesauce, Worcestershire sauce and bouillon.

6Add meat; cover and simmer 1 hour and 15 minutes.

7Serve with rice or noodles.

8Serves 4 to 6.
