- 1 lb. round steak, cut in small pieces
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 c. water, divided
- 1 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
Directions

1Brown steak in hot oil.

2Add soy sauce, salt and 1/4 c. water.

3Cover and cook 45 minutes.

4Add peppers and onions and cook for 15 minutes.

5Combine cornstarch and 1 cup water.

6Stir into steak mixture.

7Cook until slightly thick.

8Serve steak over hot cooked rice.

9Yield: 4 servings.
