Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 green peppers, cut into strips
- 2 lb. beef (round or sirloin tips)
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 c. tomatoes
- 1 beef bouillon cube, crushed
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Melt butter; add onion and green pepper.

2Saute about 2 minutes.

3Remove and set.

4Add beef (cut into 1/2 x 2-inch strips); sprinkle with garlic powder and saute, stirring slightly, until browned.

5Add tomatoes and bouillon cubes.

6Simmer about 10 minutes.

7Blend together cornstarch, water, soy sauce, sugar and salt.

8Stir into meat mixture and cool just until thickened.

9Add onion and green pepper; heat thoroughly.

10Serve over buttered rice.
