- 1 lb. (1/2-inch) sirloin tips, cut in serving pieces
- 2 Tbsp. fat
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, halved
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1 c. hot water
- 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
- 1 large green pepper, thinly sliced in rings
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 c. cold water
- hot noodles
Directions

1Brown meat slowly in hot fat about 15 minutes.

2Add onion and garlic the last few minutes.

3Season with salt and pepper. Dissolve bouillon cube in hot water; add to meat.

4Cover and simmer 20 to 25 minutes.

5Add tomatoes and green pepper.

6Cook 10 minutes longer.

7Combine cornstarch, cold water and soy sauce and stir into meat mixture.

8Bring to boil, cook and stir 5 minutes longer.

9Remove garlic.

10Serve with hot noodles.

11Can use round steak sprinkled with tenderizer and floured.

12Adjust cooking time.
