- 6 green bell peppers, seeds and pith removed
- 2 ears fresh corn, cut from cob
- 4 medium size peeled tomatoes, chopped coarsely
- 1 c. bread crumbs, divided in half
- 1 tsp. grated onion
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 lb. finely ground beef
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Slice top off firm fresh bell peppers and remove seeds and pith.

2Cut in halves lengthwise and boil for 10 minutes.

3Drain. Brown ground beef; drain.

4Mix with corn, tomatoes, onions, chili powder, salt and pepper and cook slowly for 15 minutes, stirring constantly.

5Add bread crumbs to thicken.

6Fill peppers with mixture and sprinkle with bread crumbs.

7Dot with margarine.

8Bake in pan to which you have added 1/2 cup hot water for 30 to 45 minutes at 350° until crumbs are browned.
