- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 3/4 cups plus 2 tablespoons solid vegetable shortening
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon water
Directions

1Place the flour, sugar, and salt in a medium mixing bowl.

2Add the shortening and mix with a fork or pastry cutter until crumbly.

3Combine the egg, vinegars, and water, add to the flour mixture, and mix until the flour is moistened.

4Divide into 4 portions, shaping each into a disc.
