  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. persimmon puree *
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Cream shortening and sugar together; add the persimmon puree and eggs.

    Sift dry ingredients and add to the persimmon mixture. Beat well.

    Pour into a greased baking pan and bake at 350° about 1 hour.
