- 1 large carton persimmon pulp (4 c.)
- 4 eggs
- 1 stick melted margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 to 2 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Mix together buttermilk and soda.

2Melt margarine in long casserole dish you plan to use.

3Add to batter.

4Makes 2 (1 1/2-quart) casserole dishes or 1 large pan.

5Cook at 350° until brown on top, 45 minutes to 1 hour.

6Place 2 strips bacon on top before cooking.
