- 1/2 cups Butter
- 3 Tablespoons Baking Cocoa
- 1-1/2 cup White Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 1/2 cups Buttermilk Or Sour Milk
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 2 cups Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
Directions

1Put butter, cocoa and sugar in a bowl. Bring water to boil. Add to the mix. Stir until butter is melted. Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour, salt and baking soda. Beat for 1-2 minutes.

2Grease and flour a 13 x 9 cake pan. Bake at 375F for 30 -40 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

3Note: To make sour milk, add 1/2 teaspoon vinegar to 1/2 cup milk and let sit for a while.
