  • 4 qt. beets (small or cut in pieces), peeled and cooked
  • 3 c. white vinegar
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. water
  • 2 tsp. allspice
  • 3-inch cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 tsp. whole cloves
  • 1 tsp. salt

    Bring to boil.

    Add cooked beets; bring to boil again and can. Makes about 8 pints.
