- 1 can sliced beets
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 1 tsp. pickling spice
Directions

1Drain beets, reserve 1/3 cup liquid.

2Place beets in a large 1-quart casserole with sugar, beet liquid and vinegar.

3Tie spice in a small square of cheesecloth and add to beets.

4Cook, covered for 6 to 7 minutes or until mixture boils.

5Cool and remove bag of spices.

6Refrigerate up to 2 weeks.
