  • 1 (16 oz.) can sliced beets
  • 1/4 c. sugar (or the equivalent in sugar substitute)
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon

    Drain the beets, reserving the juice.

    Combine the juice, sugar, vinegar, and spices in a small saucepan.

    Heat until sugar dissolves.
