Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. mustard
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 12 hard-boiled eggs
  • 2 small onions, thinly sliced

Directions

    Blend mustard and a small amount of vinegar in saucepan.

    Add remaining vinegar, water, sugar, salt, celery seed, mustard seed and cloves; mix well.

    Bring to a boil.

    Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.

    Cool.

    Combine whole eggs and onion slices in bowl.

    Add cooled vinegar mixture.

    Chill, covered, overnight. Yield:
