- 2 c. white vinegar
- 4 bay leaves
- 1 tsp. white peppercorns
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. mustard seed
- 1 tsp. whole cloves
Directions

1Mix all of the ingredients together.

2Cut fish into small pieces.

3Put in very salty water; soak for 48 hours, then drain. Put fish in clear white vinegar.

4Pour brine over fish.

5Boil 5 minutes and cool.

6Store in refrigerator in glass jars.
