- 4 lb. small tender okra
- 10 cloves garlic
- 10 pods red or green hot peppers
- 3/4 c. pickling salt
- 1 c. water
- 8 c. pure cider vinegar
Directions

1Wash okra, leaving short stems. Pack into ten clean, hot pint jars.

2Place pod of pepper and one clove of garlic in each jar. Combine salt, vinegar and water.

3Heat to boiling.

4Pour over okra.

5Seal jars.

6Let stand for several weeks before using. Yields 10 pints.
