- 6 qt. whole okra
- 1 box dill seed
- 6 cloves garlic
- small red pepper (fresh or dried)
- 2 qt. white vinegar
- 2 qt. water
- 1 c. salt
- 1/8 tsp. alum (to each jar)
Directions

1Wash and dry okra.

2Pack into jars.

3Add to each jar 1 teaspoon of dill seed, 1 garlic pod and 1 red pepper.

4Bring water, salt and vinegar to a boil.

5Pour the water, salt and vinegar over the okra.

6Seal and store for 4 weeks.
