  • 4 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. water
  • dill
  • hot peppers
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 3 lb. okra
  • garlic

Directions

    Trim okra without cutting pod; pack in sterile jars, placing 2 heads of dill, 1 or 2 pods of garlic and a small hot pepper on top.

    Combine vinegar, water and salt and heat to boiling.

    Pour over okra and seal while hot.

    Wait one month before using.

    Makes 5 to 6 pints.
