  • 3 lb. okra (small)
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 5 pods hot pepper
  • 1 qt. water
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 6 Tbsp. salt
  • 6 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 6 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 1/2 tsp. hot red pepper

    Pack in 5 pint jars small tender okra, 1 garlic clove and 1 pod hot pepper.

    Place remaining ingredients in heavy saucepan and bring to a boil.

    Pour over okra.

    Seal.

    Process in hot water bath for 10 minutes.

    Let stand for 2 weeks before opening.
