- 9 c. water
- 3/4 c. canning salt
- 3 c. white vinegar
- 7 to 8 pt. boiler onions (slightly smaller than walnuts in size)
- dill or garlic (optional)
Directions

1Combine water and canning salt.

2Mix thoroughly.

3Take 2 cups of salted water and 1 cup vinegar and boil; then pour onions in this mixture and pack into jars.

4Add dill or garlic, if desired. Seal while hot.

5Repeat process for additional onions.
