Pickled Peaches

Ingredients

  • 1 gal. vinegar
  • 5 lb. sugar
  • 8 (2-inch) cinnamon sticks
  • whole cloves to taste
  • 24 to 36 medium whole peaches, peeled

Directions

    In large stockpot, bring vinegar, sugar, cinnamon and cloves to a boil.

    Boil for 35 minutes, then add peeled peaches.

    Cook until soft.

    Pack peaches loosely in quart jars and pour vinegar mixture over peaches.

    Seal jars with rings and lids according to normal pickling instructions.
