Pickled Pineapple Slices

  • 1 (16 oz.) can pineapple slices (reserve 1 1/4 c. syrup)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • whole cloves (one for each slice pineapple)

Directions

    In large skillet combine pineapple syrup (add water if needed), sugar, vinegar and cinnamon stick.

    Bring to boil.

    Add pineapple slices and cloves.

    Bring back to boil.

    Remove from heat and cool completely.

    Store in tight container and refrigerate.

    Keeps up to 2 weeks.
