- 4 qt. squash, cut thin
- 6 onions, sliced thin
- 1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
- 5 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1/4 c. salt
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 3 c. white vinegar
Directions

1Mix squash and onions.

2Sprinkle with salt; cover with ice. Let stand for 3 hours.

3Drain.

4Mix sugar, vinegar, mustard, celery seed and turmeric; heat well.

5Add squash and onions; bring to a boil.

6Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring thoroughly once. Put into hot jars and seal.
