  • cucumbers
  • 1 pod garlic
  • 1 head dill
  • 1 qt. water
  • 3 c. vinegar (5% acidity)
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • hot peppers and onions (optional)

Directions

    Clean cucumbers.

    Put into a jar (whole or sliced).

    Add garlic, dill and hot peppers and onions (optional).

    Mix in another pan the water, vinegar and salt.

    Bring to boil.

    Pour over pickles; seal jar.

    Process in hot water bath for 5 minutes. Let set 4 or 5 weeks before opening.
