- 1 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 2 1/4 tsp. sugar
- 1 small beaten egg
- 1 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients; cut in the shortening.

2Put the egg in a cup; add enough water to make 2/3 cup liquid.

3Pour this over other mixture; mix until forms a smooth ball.

4It is then ready to roll out.

5This makes three 2-crust pies or six 1-crust pies.

6It also keeps well in refrigerator for a week.
