- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/3 cup shortening or lard
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup very cold water
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1 egg
Directions

1In a bowl, combine the flour, shortening, butter and salt.

2Cut together until the fats are in small pea sized pieces.

3In a measuring cup mix together the cold water, vinegar, sugar, and egg with a fork.

4Add the liquids to the dry ingredients and blend with a fork.

5Form into a flattened ball.

6Dust the counter with flour and roll out the pastry.

7This pastry may be refrigerated or frozen for later use.
