- 4 c. flour, unsifted
- 1 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
Directions

1Combine the flour, sugar and salt.

2Cut in shortening.

3Beat together vinegar, egg and water.

4Stir into flour mix.

5Divide into 4 equal portions.

6Place in wax paper.

7Refrigerateat least 30 min before rolling out on floured surface.

8If baking before filling, prick bottom and side walls with fork; bake at 450 degrees for 10 min.

9Bake till crust is golden brown.

10For a filled shell, bake according to pie filling recipe.
