Pineapple Cherry Upside-Down Cake

  • 1 (32 oz.) can crushed pineapple
  • 1 (18 oz.) can cherry pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 (4 oz.) jar maraschino cherries
  • 8 oz. butter
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    In an ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan, spread undrained pineapple followed by the cherry pie filling.

    Mix cake batter per instructions on its box and pour over the pineapple and cherry mixture.

    Spread nuts over last.

    Bake for 1 hour at 350°.

    Remove and allow to cool in pan.

    When cooled, remove by turning upside-down and lifting pan from cake.

    Garnish with maraschino cherries.
