Pineapple Fridge Cake

- 1 (18 1/2 oz.) pkg. yellow cake mix
- 1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can crushed pineapple
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding mix
- 1 c. whipping cream, whipped and sweetened
- flaked coconut, lightly toasted
Directions

1Prepare cake in 13 x 9-inch baking pan and bake according to package directions.

2Combine crushed pineapple and sugar in saucepan and bring to boil; cool slightly.

3When baked cake has cooled, pierce holes in cake with fork.

4Pour pineapple mixture over it.

5Prepare pudding mix according to package directions. Cool.

6Spread prepared pudding over top.

7Chill.

8Just before serving, cover with sweetened whipped cream and sprinkle with coconut.

9If desired, garnish with pineapple slices.

10Makes 12 to 16 servings.
