Pineapple Ice Box Pudding

- 2/3 c. melted butter
- 1 tall can crushed pineapple
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1 box vanilla wafers, crushed
- 1/2 c. pecans, chopped, or 1 c. if desired
Directions

1Melt the butter.

2Remove from stove and add pineapple, sugar, crushed wafers and chopped nuts.

3Crush enough extra wafers to put a thin layer in bottom of pyrex dish.

4Pour mixture in dish and add a thin layer of crushed wafers on top.

5Place in refrigerator to cool.

6Serve in square blocks with Cool Whip if desired.

7This is enough for about 12 servings.
