Pineapple Pound Cake

  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1/2 lb. margarine
  • 2 3/4 c. sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 3 c. sifted plain flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. undrained crushed pineapple and juice
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

    Cream shortening, margarine and sugar.

    Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each.

    Sift flour with baking powder; add to creamed mixture, 1 spoonful at a time, alternately with milk.

    Add vanilla; stir in pineapple and juice.

    Blend well.

    Pour into a well-greased 10-inch tube pan or 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

    Place in a cold oven at 325° and bake 1 1/2 hours.
