- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 3/4 cups sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 1/4 cup milk
- pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup crushed pineapple drained
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 6 large eggs
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Directions

1Cream shortening, 1/2 lb. butter and sugar.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Add flour, sifted with baking powder, 1 spoonful at a time, alternating with milk, add vanilla; stir in undrained pineapple and juice, blend well.

4Pour into a well-greased 10 inch tub pan.

5Place in a cold oven.

6Turn oven to 325° and bake.
