  • 3 egg yolks, separated from whites
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 5 Tbsp. pineapple juice from a can of pineapple rings
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • maraschino cherries

Directions

    Place 9-inch round cake pan on a burner over medium heat. Melt together butter and brown sugar.

    Place 4 pineapple rings with maraschino cherries in the center of the pan.

    Mix the rest of the ingredients and pour the cake batter over the pineapple rings.

    Bake in a 350° oven for 45 minutes.
