Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 (20 oz.) can sliced or tidbit pineapple
- walnut halves
- maraschino cherries
- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix with pudding
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Melt margarine in a 13 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle brown sugar and arrange pineapple, cherries and walnuts over the margarine.

3Prepare cake mix according to package directions.

4Pour batter into pan.

5Bake until cake springs back when touched lightly in center, 45 to 55 minutes.

6Immediately invert pan on heatproof serving plate.

7Cool completely.

8Top with Cool Whip.
