- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1/3 c. white corn syrup
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. candied pineapple, diced
- 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
Directions

1Combine sugar, sour cream, corn syrup, butter and salt.

2Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves.

3Boil, without stirring to 236° or until a little mixture dropped into cold water forms a soft ball.

4Remove from heat and let stand 15 minutes, without stirring.

5Add vanilla. Beat until mixture starts to lose its gloss, about 8 minutes.

6Stir in pineapple and nuts.

7Pour into buttered 8-inch square pan.

8Cool and cut into squares.

9Yield:
