- 1 small bag dried pinto beans
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 16 oz. can chopped tomatoes
- 4.5 oz. can green chilies
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1 ham hock
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. chili powder
Directions

1Soak dry beans overnight by covering with 2-inches of water and 1 tablespoon salt.

2Drain beans.

3Fill to 2-inches above beans with fresh water and bring to a rapid boil.

4Drain again and put in crock-pot.

5Cover with 1-inch of water and add remaining ingredients.

6Cook 1 hour on high.

7Cook 12 to 14 hours on low.
