  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • salt to season
  • 4 pita breads

    Heat the oven to 400°.

    Combine the oil, cumin, cayenne pepper and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.

    Split the pitas in half.

    Brush the cut side of each half with the flavored oil.

    Stack the pitas and cut them into quarters.

    Spread them on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake until golden brown, about 10 minutes.

    Transfer to a rack to cool.

    Fill with your favorite chopped meats and vegetables.
