Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. margarine, softened
  • 2 Tbsp. minced parsley
  • 1 Tbsp. snipped chives
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed and minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 rounds pita bread

Directions

    Cream together first 6 ingredients.

    Chill margarine mixture at least 1 hour (overnight is best).
  3. 3
    Halve 6 pita rounds and separate each half into 2 pieces.
  4. 4
    Spread the inside of each piece with some of the margarine mixture.
  5. 5
    Arrange bread on a baking sheet in one layer.

    Bake it in top third of oven at 450° (preheated) for 5 minutes or until lightly browned and crisp.

    Great with soups and pasta.
