  • 1/2 c. warm water (lukewarm)
  • 1 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. cooking oil or shortening

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in water and let stand 5 minutes.

    Stir in flour, salt and oil; knead until it forms a smooth ball.

    Let rise in a greased covered bowl in a warm place (80°) until doubled. Pat dough in greased 12-inch pizza pan, pressing dough up on sides.

    Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until brown.
