- 1/2 lb. Italian sausage
- 2 c. flour
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 1/3 c. plus 1 Tbsp. cold water
Directions

1Brown sausage; crumble, drain and set aside.

2Combine flour, cheese and salt.

3Cut in shortening until mixture is the size of small peas.

4Add sausage.

5Add water, a little at a time, tossing and stirring with fork until dough is moist enough to hold together.

6Shape into balls 1 inch in diameter.

7Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 450° for 10 to 12 minutes.

8Serve hot, dipped in cocktail or pizza sauce.

9Serve on toothpicks.
